We are
bitchy,
whiny,
hysterical,
Feisty.
Why Feisty?
Let’s be honest, if you’re a woman, you’ve probably been called feisty or some variation of it: “bitchy”, “catty” or just “a problem”. However, when you actually look up the word feisty, the definition doesn’t match those negative labels at all. It means lively, determined and courageous. And that’s the definition we’re reclaiming here at Feisty Media.
Meet Feisty. We are an unapologetic and bold media company that hopes to amplify the feminist perspective in your daily scroll. Feisty brings the critical thinking with a dash of humour to help you have those tough conversations. Whether it’s helping you explain to your uncle why asking when you’re having kids is not, in fact, an acceptable dinner table conversation, or getting your friend to understand how political candidates might affect their basic rights (as women, or as humans), we’ve got you covered.
At Feisty, we believe that media should be diverse, inclusive and should be reflective of real experiences. Out with clickbait, victim-blaming and Murdoch media tropes. Whether it’s through articles, podcasts, or dynamic social content, we are committed to producing work that sparks conversation, inspires change, and empowers individuals to take action.
Join us as we create a media landscape that is fierce, inclusive, and unapologetically feminist.
Next time you’re in an argument and someone calls you feisty, own it. Because it is honestly the best compliment you can get.
Meet the Founder

Brooke Wallis, Founder Feisty Media
Brooke has always been what some would call a ‘social justice warrior’. After experiencing numerous forms of gendered violence herself, and watching friends go through similar situations, she was unsure why society is still stuck in the same rut of inaction. In attempting to address gendered violence and gender inequality within various communities, she was ignored, blamed or told she was making too much noise.
So, after months of frustration and a lot of eye-rolling, Brooke decided to stop waiting for change and start making it herself. She founded Feisty Media, a feminist media platform aimed at talking about the issues that both men and women face at the hands of the patriarchy.
Brooke is completing a double degree of a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UNSW. Now entering her fourth year of this degree, she has realised that the broken legal system is not going to allow her to make the change she wants to affect. Instead, she wants to connect with people to help them understand that they can be as bold, brave and opinionated as they choose.
